Mini Brownie Cookie Dough Layer Cake

Hi guys!

I’m actually very proud to share this recipe with you. This Brownie Cookie Dough Layer Cake has been on my mind for a very long time and I’ve finally did it! Yay!

To be honest, my biggest fear was the (calori)bomb I would be dropping on you guys. I mean, look at it! It’s a complete chocolate overdose. But it is oh so good! I first thought it would be waaaaay too sweet and a freakin’ attack on your system. But this Brownie Cookie Dough Layer Cake turns out to be the perfect decadent cake any chocolate lover must try. My colleagues tried it and they went nuts over it. One of them said it was the best thing he had ever eaten in his life. And he said that about my Brownies before. So if you thought they were amazing, wait ’till you try this πŸ˜‰

Coconut Brownies

Hi guys!

Am I going too far with the Brownie love? Maybe. Do I regret it? Nope.
I promise some totally different recipes on the blog soon. Wouldn’t want to bore or scare away the anti-chocolate people. If you guys would exist. But seriously, let me know if you hate chocolate. That way I can adapt my recipes to your needs and come closer to my goal of world satisfaction πŸ˜‰ Oh wait, am I supposed to say world peace now?

Anyways, chocolate it is. But not just any kind of chocolate. Trying different things with my classic (and super delicious) Brownie recipe, I came across a Coconut version! It is such a good combo! My family and colleagues can agree on this one πŸ™‚

Cookie Dough Truffles

Hi guys!

“Euhm Sarah, Cookie Dough Truffles? They don’t have anything to do with Easter, do they?” You’re absolutely right! I wanted to bring up the excuse that they are round and can therefore be used as Easter Eggs. But truth be told, I just couldn’t wait until after Easter to share these yummy Cookie Dough Truffles with you. Sorry.

Chocolate Frangipane Cake

Hi guys!

It was time for a new experiment. I wanted to combine 2 of my favorite flavors into one cake: chocolate (what else?) and Frangipane. It worked!

Chocolate Mickey Cake

Hi guys!

We had a birthday celebration last Sunday for my aunt, grandpa, nephew and myself. I wanted to make a special cake for my aunt because she loves mice and especially Mickey Mouse…And she loves chocolate (who doesn’t). A few days before, I came across a Mickey Mouse cake. Yes! This is going to be the cake πŸ˜€

I decided to go for a yummy Devil’s Food Cake, topped with ganache. It’s such a rich chocolate cake, but not too heavy. I didn’t dare to write immediately on the cake so IΒ wrote on some parshment paper to harden in the freezer until the letters were dry enough to put on the cake.

Tadaaaaaa:

Chocolate Cheesecake

Hi guys!

I’m sharing a fantastic dessert from The Boyfriend today. On Wednesday, I tried to make a Chocolate Mousse Cheesecake. I failed. Massively. The Boyfriend felt so bad for me, he made this divine Chocolate Cheesecake! That’s what I call true love. Especially because The Boyfriend has nothing with desserts. He did it just for me ❀

Hazelnut Brownies

Hi guys!

Last week, I made some Brownies for my colleagues at work. One of them asked me if I had ever made them with nuts since he likes it so much. Negative. I have never ever made anything with nuts before. Except for almond flour but that doesn’t count. So, nuts huh? Challenge accepted! I must say they looked pretty damn good when I took them out of the oven.

First time ever using nuts, I think I may have exaggerated a little on the nutty intentions… But it was supposed to be nutty, so I think I definitely nailed that one xD

Made with love: Moelleux for Valentine’s Day

Hi guys!

Happy Valentine’s Day! ❀

“What should I make for Valentine’s Day?” I think that question went through my mind multiple times a day for the past weeks. Red things? Pink things? Red Velvet things? Heart shaped things? I had no idea! Inspiration enough but just no clue. I wanted something easy but delicious. Romantic, but not too much. And – of course – a crowd pleaser. PING! What do I love most? What do women love most? (Besides puppies and men with sixpacks…) Chocolate! Suddenly the idea for my Valentine’s Day recipe was born: Moelleux (aka Lava Cake)

Making Donuts with Dr.Oetker

Hi guys!

I think it’s been a while. At least a week. The beginning of the year was crazy, we had a 2-days event for work and then a business trip came along (forgot to take my laptop with me – of course). So yes, I missed my kitchen and I missed my blog. But I haven’t been gone for long πŸ™‚ I’m still amazed at how much I like to bake and blog seeing it’s only been a week since my last blogpost and I missed it.

To start the new baking year off right, I immediately baked something I’ve been wanting to do for years. I bought myself a donut baking tin! The day after, some yummy donuts were born. Why I waited a whole day? Because I didn’t have enough flour and the stores were already closed. So typical…

Chocolate Speculoos Truffles

Hi guys!

I hope you had a wonderful Christmas.

You probably have 1 more big feast to go: New Year’s Eve!
What better treat to serve your guests than homemade Chocolate Speculoos Truffles? πŸ˜€

Some only use Nutella or any other hazelnut based paste to fill the Truffles, but I like it a bit crunchy so I added crunchy speculoos paste as well πŸ™‚ It gives your Truffles a little extra πŸ˜‰ Yummmmm!
