Festive Javanais

Hi guys!

One of my absolute favorite things is Javanais. If you would present me a plate of lovely patisserie and there is a Javanais amongst them, I’d definitely pick him. Over and over again. Even is you ask me day after day. It’s my all-time favorite!

This Christmas won’t be all about typical Christmas desserts. I’d like to make some yummy festive desserts as well. This Javanais is no exception. I’ve added some gold to make it look festive enough for the Christmas dinner. What do you guys think?

Whittard English Rose Tea & Raspberry Cupcakes

Hi guys!

Can you feel the Christmas spirit coming? No? No problem, it’s still a bit early. I know.
I’ve told you about my OCD (Obsessive Christmas Disorder) so it shouldn’t be a surprise that I am already getting in the Christmas spirit… Bought myself a new Christmas sweater yesterday and almost grabbed a cute little toy dog dressed as Rudolph today. So yes, I’m having it bad xD

I may be crazy about Christmas but I do love you little Grinch people too! The coming weeks will be all about the coziness of Winter instead of pure Christmas joy, Wouldn’t want to scare you away.

These Whittard English Rose Tea Cupcakes are the perfect example! They taste great and look super cute and they are pretty festive as well. Which makes them perfect for Christmas OR cosy evenings by the fireplace. Imagine a fireplace if you don’t have one. Can you feel the coziness? Thought so πŸ˜‰

Zombie Unicorn Cake for Halloween

Hi guys!

Happy Halloween!

I bet lots of you are going out tonight in fabulous and terrifying outfits. Others may go door to door with the kids or send the kids to go Trick or Treat-ing. Some of you are going to watch horror movies. If you’re wondering what I’m doing tonight, I think we can rule out the latter. I will be baking tonight, but not for Halloween.

My final Halloween experiment was born last Sunday. Or should I say ‘died’ last Sunday? Don’t know. You tell me πŸ˜‰

May I present to you: Misses Zombie Unicorn!

Black Cat Halloween Cake

Hi guys!

I’ve seen amazing, really scary Halloween creations in the past few weeks. My Mummies weren’t really scary and today’s Halloween recipe isn’t either. But I just love cute Halloweens xD Remember the Frankenstein Cupcakes from last year? Not so scary. See, I have a theme when it comes to Halloween…

Some people want it to be scary, others want it to be cute and another group just doesn’t do Halloween. I for one enjoy it very much, as long as it’s not too scary. You can guess by now that I don’t do horror movies or Halloween ghostrides in theme parks, right?
Yes, I’m easily scared. Yes, I know some may say that’s silly. No, I do not care.

Today’s Halloween recipe may be one for all people. It’s a Black Cat Cake! It’s definitely not scary but it can cause a severe case of Death By Chocolate. Be careful!

Mummy Brownies for Halloween

Hi guys!

I haven’t been abducted by ghosts or black cats. I was busy trying some Halloween recipes for you! And I kinda took a week off. Sometimes you just need to go offline for a while. Get in touch with that inner you or catch up with some friends.
Or series in my case…

Series? Don’t you have to bake something? Yes. Yes, I do. But my dishwasher didn’t feel the same way. He broke down on Saturday. So “Sundays are for baking” suddenly changed to “Sundays are for cleaning”, dish washing and dish washing 😦 I think you can imagine how I felt after that so baking was the last thing on my mind that day because I really didn’t want to do some dish washing again… So instead, I binge-watched Pretty Little liars on Netflix which was the perfect alternative because I’m now almost at the end! Yay!

But I do have a Halloween recipe for you today! It’s cute, not aggressive and perfect to make with the kids: Mummy Brownies!

Homemade Sprits Cookies

Hi guys

Many of you have been watching GBBO. It has been in The Netherlands for 5 years now (Heel Holland Bakt) and Belgium has finally joined the hype with Bake-Off Vlaanderen. I have seen many yummy recipes I’d like to try sometimes but 1 couldn’t be postponed: Sprits Cookies! It is one of my favorite cookies and Heel Holland Bakt had them in one of their episodes this year. No more excuses to not be baking them πŸ˜‰

Chocolate Chip Apple Cake

Hi guys!

Who likes apples? I do! I don’t care how apples are used, I love every recipe with them.
But the way I like them most, is in a cake. Haha who knew :p

I love a simple Apple Cake but I wanted to add a little something. The Boyfriend wasn’t feeling so well last week so he had the final say since he wanted a cake so bad. He went for the Apple Cake and I added some chocolate chips πŸ™‚ Because chocolate always makes you feel better πŸ˜‰

Salted Caramel Apple Pie

Hi guys!

It’s official. Fall is here. Some may say Summer didn’t last long this year, others may even say we didn’t even have a Summer this year. I disagree. I’ve enjoyed Summer, I’ve sat in the sun and I even got burned from it. So yes, we did have a Summer. But that’s over now.

I don’t mind it being Fall already. It’s such a great season! The trees get beautiful colours, we can eat cinnamon, apples and pumpkin every day and the house becomes a bit more cosy when we take our candles out. I don’t like waking up in the dark and coming home in the dark but I do like the cosy vibe that darkness brings our house. Oh and another great part of Fall? It leads to Christmas πŸ˜‰

To celebrate the beginning of Fall, I present to you: Salted Caramel Apple Pie! I even tried a decorated pie crust for you.

3 Fabulous Brownie Recipes for Chocolate Day

Hi guys!

Tomorrow might be one of my favorite days… Chocolate Day! It’s not the same as my favorite, official, holiday (you know which one that is, don’t you?) but still. If there was a rule that it was okay (when is it not) to eat chocolate all day long, I would definitely obey.

I was dreaming about what to make for Chocolate Day and the answer was quite easy: Brownies! I find Brownies to be the BEST option ever if you’re looking for something that screams chocolate. You can also go for a regular chocolate bar, but where’s the fun in that? If you make brownies however, you have the taste of divinity (and chocolate) AND the smell of divinity (and chocolate)! It makes my house smell so cozy ^^.

To celebrate chocolate Day, I’m sharing 3 fabulous Brownie recipes with you! We’ll go from ‘normal’ to ‘over the top’ πŸ˜‰

Tiramisu Cupcakes

Hi guys!

I’m sharing another Tiramisu recipe today. In Cupcake costume! How cool is that?! πŸ˜‰

My ultimate example when it comes to Cupcakes is Cupcake Jemma from Crumbs & Doilies, UK. I love watching her YouTube video’s and I’m dying to visit the shop whenever I get back to London some day. Hopefully next year.

So I’m guessing you guys can already figure out whose original recipe this is πŸ˜‰

Tiramisu Cupcakes. It’s a Cupcake, with a Tiramisu flavor. It really is as simple as that. The Cupcake has a slight espresso flavor (very subtle) and a yummy espresso filling. That piece of heaven is topped with a smooth mascarpone buttercreme and sprinkled with cocoa powder. Drooling yet?
