Easter Egg Sprinkle Cookies

Hi guys!

It’s almost Easter. Whenever there is a holiday coming up, I open my Pinterest and scroll for hours looking for inspiration. It didn’t took me long to find exactly what I wanted to make for Easter. I wanted cookies and sprinkles. Bam! Perfect! The pictures on Pinterest are always so stunning. When I try to copy something, it usually doens’t turn out that fabulous. But these cookies did. It may have something to do with how easy these Easter Egg Sprinkle Cookies are to make.

Easy & delicious Butter Cookies

Hi guys!

As we’re approaching December, many people have begun their Christmas preppings. I won’t make any real Christmas recipes until the first of December, but these yummy Butter Cookies might be part of our Christmas celebration.

They are easy to make, delicious with a cup of coffee or tea and perfect for royal icing decorations! I’m still practicing my cookie decorating skills so I won’t be able to show you awesome looking cookies. But I can show you the cookies themselves, which are the true stars in this show ๐Ÿ˜‰

Chocolate Chip Cake Mix Cookies

Hi guys!

Did you ever had that craving for cookies and cake at the same time? I dure did! But there’s a perfect solution for this first world problem: cake mix cookies!

I discovered it at Moments with Mandiย and I just had to try them. Crunchy on the outside, shaped like a cookie and soft on the inside like a cake. Love it! I know it’s not as good as having both chocolate chip cookies and cake but it really is a perfect solution on a lazy tv-night when the stores are closed and you don’t want to bake both things. AND if the cravings get so serious you are about to die if you don’t get cookies and cake. I mean it, it can happen.

In that case, don’t call 911, just start baking! ๐Ÿ˜‰

Speculoos Cookies

Hi guys!

I’ve had one of those baking cravings ๐Ÿ™‚ You know, those moments when you just HAVE to bake something!

It was Sunday, I had just cleaned the whole house (yes, including the kitchen, which wasn’t that smart I suppose) and the Boyfriend turned on the television for some football. I didn’t know what to do! :O
I still have lots of great books I could read. I’m reading the third book from the Game of Thrones series at the moment (meaning: sometimes before I go to bed). But I didn’t want to read. I wanted to bake! But what?

That’s always the tricky part. I now I want to bake, I HAVE to, but I never know what recipe to make… And I know, those 34 cook books in the closet should make things easy for me but no, they don’t. I never know what recipe to make. Oh god, why does it have to be so complicated!

After standing in front of my cookbooks, staring at them and just doing absolutely nothing, I decided to make something that wasn’t in any of my cookbooks: Speculoos Cookies!

Speculoos Cookie

So so easy and very yummy. Perfect ๐Ÿ™‚ It’s actually a modified version of my Nerdy Nummies Chocolate Chip Smart Cookies.

What do we need:

  • 260 g flour
  • 150 g white sugar
  • 150 g brown sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 eggs
  • Speculoos crumbs (I’ve used 2 hands of speculoos crumbs)
  • 250 g butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Baking plate
  • Baking paper

Speculoos Cookies 02

How to:

  1. Combine flour and salt in a separate bowl
  2. Combine butter, both sugars and vanilla extract in your mixer
  3. Add the eggs
  4. Slowly add the flour once the eggs are completely combined
  5. Add the speculoos crumbs and mix them through the dough
  6. Bake our cookies for about 15 minutes at 190 degrees centigrade

Speculoos Cookies

These Speculoos Cookies are crispy at the sides and chewy in the middle ๐Ÿ™‚ I guess that’s a feature of speculoos because Speculoos Blondies are chewy as well!

So let’s get chewing on those cookies and love those baking craving moments because they always end well ๐Ÿ˜‰

Nerdy Nummies Chocolate Chip Smart Cookies

Hi guys!

If I were a cookie, I’d look a little something like this:

Nerdy Nummies Smart Cookie

This Nerdy Nummies Chocolate Chip Smart Cookie is the cutest cookie I’ve EVER seen!

You know I’m a big fan of Rosanna Pansino and her Nerdy Nummies series on YouTube, right? She introduced me to this cute cookie since it’s the logo of her series ๐Ÿ™‚ The minute I saw this Chocolate Chip Cookie, I knew I had to make it! It’s just so cute! And yummie ^^

Rosanna used cookie icing to make the glasses but mine just kept breaking (I’d even made blue glasses because mine is a bit blue ๐Ÿ˜ฆ ) So I turned to my first love, chocolate ๐Ÿ˜‰

USC#3: Chocolate Chip Cookie

Hi guys!

I’m back with another delicious recipe from my cookbook United States of Cakes!
I’ve never tried homemade chocolate chip cookies before.
Shame. On. Me.

I really don’t know why but I’m a bit scared when it comes to cookies.
The recipes are easy, I know, but I’m always worried they won’t be perfect. Or tasty. Or good in general.

But these babies came out perfectly!

Chocolate chip cookies, or as we call them American Cookies, are by far my favourites! I can eat loads of them!
They’re so delicious! I LOVE the ones that are crispy on the outside and soft and a bit chewy on the inside.
Oh my. I get a warm fuzzy feeling just by thinking about it.
