I’m beyond excited to share this post with you today 😀 A few days ago, I went to the press days of Yapado. It’s an event I always look forward to because I get to see the new collections of brands I love. And boy did I love the new collections… I usually list things in random order but the first two are my absolute favorites! You’ll understand why 😉
#1: Salt & Pepper
I’ve loved Salt & Pepper ever since I can remember. But with this new collection, they have completely stolen my heart. It is right up my alley and I wish I could just buy myself a whole new set of… well, everything! Not that hard you might say but I’m not so much into throwing things away that aren’t broken. I can however invite a bunch of clumsy people over… Does that sound like a plan to you?
Yesterday was my birthday, Sarah’s Little Kitchen turned 3 and I’ve been ‘working’ with Dr.Oetker for a year now. Reason enough for a little party!
I wanted to do a fun giveaway to celebrate these wonderful things 🙂
Dr.Oetker has given me so much to
work bake with, so much fun. I want you guys to experience as much fun as I have whilst baking cakes etc ^^ So I’ve selected some fun, yummy and useful things from Dr.Oetker. One of you can win it! *woop woop!*
It was about time I shared my September Favorites with you. You guys waved Summer goodbye whilst pulling out the cinnamon, apples and pumpkins. I didn’t mind that quick switch between salads and pumpkin recipes. I guess I just like Fall desserts better 😉
#1: Chocolate Mocha Cake
Ai made it for you and I wish she made it for me too. This cake gives me a very warm, fuzzy feeling. It looks like a perfect, moist cake and it just looks wonderful to me.
Another month passed by… Which means I have 5 new awesome dishes to share with you from fellow food bloggers! Yay!
September always feels like the month of change. You know, new chances at school. Maybe changing school? Changing your classes? I used to look forward to September. Learning new things, seeing my friends again, … I really never minded going to school. But I did feel happy when it was over and I became part of the working world. But this September, I know I’m going to miss school. Just because it really wasn’t that bad. As a teen, I never believed people saying school was the best time of their lives. I always thought working and not studying all the time, would be better. But I can tell you I do miss school. A little bit. How about you?
Let’s forget about school and take a look at this month’s 5 favorites!
#1: Classic Creme Brûlée with pommegranate
The 1st of July… Oh boy. Before you know it, it’ll be Christmas again. Time flies when you’re having fun, they say. I guess I’m having loads of fun then. Once Monday morning has passed, Friday is there in no time. It’s insane.
In three days, a lot of you will be celebrating the 4th of July. Since I’m from Belgium, I won’t be making any red, white & blue or stars & stripes themed desserts. But I do wish you a very happy 4th!
I know our 5 June Favorites will make you feel like partying 😉
#1: Maple Funfetti Cake
Such a fun cake! It’s a perfect celebration cake. Doesn’t matter what needs to be celebrated, this cake will be perfect for it. Thank you Izzy from Monday Bakeoff with Izzy. We’re all happy thanks to your cake.
A little while ago was the time of the… Press Days! I LOVE Press Days because you get to see new products and new collections from all of your favorite brands. It is so much fun!
One of my absolute favorites is Yapado. I don’t know if the amount of food clients they have has anything to do with it… Uhm uhm 😉
My god. I have been so spoiled by them! Hapjes Princess prepared lots of yummy treats for us as you guys may have seen on my social media:
Did you enjoy yesterday’s leap day? Did you do something special or was it just another working day for you? I didn’t do anything special besides choosing the February Favorites!
#1: Nutella Espresso Cheesecake with Raspberry Swirl
January is waaaaaaaay past now but we still have some recap to do 😉
Can I please have this for Valentine’s Day? 😀
Happy National Pancake Day! I think this is my new favorite “holiday” :p
I just LOVE Pancakes… American Pancakes, homemade Pancakes, Nutella Pancakes, Pancakes from my grandma, … I LOVE them! Who doesn’t? 😀
To celebrate this very special and joyful day I bring you 7 awesome recipes!
#1: Apple Pie Pancakes
Two of my favorite things combined. That just screams DELICIOUS!
Nothing says Christmas more than Christmas Cookies… I’m sorry but you can’t say you’ve celebrated Christmas if you haven’t had any cookies to go with it. You just can’t.
Sooooo I’ve made some yummy Jam Cookies! They can be used for several occasions because they aren’t Christmas exclusive as you can see but these star shaped cookies fit Christmas perfectly as well 🙂
What we need:
- 250 g butter
- 165 g sugar
- 1 egg yolk
- 250 g flour
- pinch of salt
- raspberry jam (or any kind of jam you like)
- cookie cutters in 2 sizes
- plastic foil
- baking plate
- baking paper
- Mix together butter and sugar until fluffy.
- Add the egg yolk.
- Sift the flour and add it together with the salt to the mixture.
- Mix until everything gets combined and it forms a real dough.
- Wrap the dough in plastic foil and store for 30 – 60 minutes in the fridge.
- Remove the foil and roll out the dough.
- Cut out as much stars as you can.
- Cut out a smaller piece in half of the stars (these will be your top stars).
- Heat the oven at 190°C.
- Place the cookies on a sheet of baking paper on a baking plate and bake for 15 minutes at 190°C.
- Let the cookies cool on the baking plate for a bit until placing them on a rack to cool completely.
- Take your ‘full’ stars and put some jam on them.
- Sprinkle some powdered sugar on the top stars (the ones with the holes).
- Place the top stars on top of the jam.
- Serve! 😀
Have a delicious day ❤
