Hi guys!
I’ve made something special for you today!
Those who follow me on Facebook already knew what I would be using…
They could guess what it would be but nobody figured it out!
May I present to you: Spicy Chai Latté Brownies!
How the hell did she come up with that? The girl doesn’t even drink coffee!
I know! Barù (you remember them) was so kind to send me some delicious goodies and in the package I found some Spicy Chai Latté powder. I figured if I didn’t drink it, I might as well better use it in a dessert 😉
So these delicious brownies were born!
They are so freaking good! Look how perfectly moist they are!
The recipe is so easy and the ones who get to taste them will love them!
I took them to work and one of my colleagues said: “They are exactly how a brownie should be.”
What do we need: (1 batch = +- 20 portions)
- 350g dark chocolate
- 250g butter
- 3 eggs
- 3 spoons of Spicy Chai Latté powder
- 250g sugar candy
- 80g self-raising flour
- square baking tin
- baking paper
How to:
Preheat the oven at 180°C.
Put the chocolate and the butter in a bowl. Put them in the microwave for about 2-3 minutes (until they’re almost completely melted).
Mix the sugar together with the eggs until you get a smooth batter.
Add the melted butter-chocolate-mixture and mix it together.
The Spicy Chai Latté powder can come in now. You can taste the batter and add a spoon (or two) if you want to.
Add the flour and mix until everything looks mixed well together.
Put a piece of baking paper in the baking tin.
Put the batter in the baking tin.
Bake the Brownies for about 30 minutes at 180°C.
Check the Brownies by using a sharp knife. If it comes out clean, your Brownies are done!
Let them cool in the baking tin and afterwards on a rack.
You can cut them in any size you want! I mostly cut it in 20 pieces 🙂
Do you like them?
Have a delicious day ❤
xxx Sarah

I always had problems with coffee powder though – never coffee-ish enough 😦 just bought Arabian coffee extract, so hopefully the flavour will come out better!

I always taste my batter before I put it in the oven but that’s not always an accurate result for the flavor afterwards…

These look insanely moist, chocolatey and FABULOUS! What is sugar candy? Can granulated sugar be used? Thanks

Thank you so much 😀 Suagr candy is like the dark version of granulated sugar. It was the only name my dictionary gave me so I really don’t know how to call it :s
