USC#3: Chocolate Chip Cookie

Hi guys!

I’m back with another delicious recipe from my cookbook United States of Cakes!
I’ve never tried homemade chocolate chip cookies before.
Shame. On. Me.

I really don’t know why but I’m a bit scared when it comes to cookies.
The recipes are easy, I know, but I’m always worried they won’t be perfect. Or tasty. Or good in general.

But these babies came out perfectly!

Chocolate chip cookies, or as we call them American Cookies, are by far my favourites! I can eat loads of them!
They’re so delicious! I LOVE the ones that are crispy on the outside and soft and a bit chewy on the inside.
Oh my. I get a warm fuzzy feeling just by thinking about it.

The Chocolate Chip Cookie is a cookie that has travelled the world!
I think you can find them almost anywhere on our lovely planet.
My cookie wanted to travel the world too but he didn’t get much further than the map on our office’s wall. πŸ˜‰

How to:

Preheat the oven at 190Β°C.
Prepare two baking plates with baking paper.

Mix the butter together with the sugar and the light brown sugar until it combines.
Mix the flour, the vanilla sugar and the salt in another bowl.

Mix the egg through the sugar-butter mixture.
Add the flourmixture and kned until it becomes a dough.

Chop the chocolate and add them to the dough.
Kned until the chocolate is nicely spread over the dough.

Divide the dough in 30 pieces and roll them all to little balls.
Squish them a bit and put them on the baking plates. Make sure there’s a little space beteen the cookies.

Bake the cookies for about 10 minutes. Check with a toothpick.
If it comes out clean, the cookies are ready to cool.
Let them cool inside the oven for a while and put them on a tray later on.

You can keep them in a cookie box or make sure to eat them all on time πŸ˜‰

p.s. These cookies really help you feel better if you’re a bit ill ^^
