Making Donuts with Dr.Oetker

Hi guys!

I think it’s been a while. At least a week. The beginning of the year was crazy, we had a 2-days event for work and then a business trip came along (forgot to take my laptop with me – of course). So yes, I missed my kitchen and I missed my blog. But I haven’t been gone for long 🙂 I’m still amazed at how much I like to bake and blog seeing it’s only been a week since my last blogpost and I missed it.

To start the new baking year off right, I immediately baked something I’ve been wanting to do for years. I bought myself a donut baking tin! The day after, some yummy donuts were born. Why I waited a whole day? Because I didn’t have enough flour and the stores were already closed. So typical…

This first donut recipe is very easy. I’m sure I’ll be bringing lots and lots of other donuts in the future 😉

What we need for 6 donuts:

  • a donut baking tin
  • Dr.Oetker baking spray
  • 130 g self-raising flour
  • 75 g sugar
  • 90 ml milk
  • 1 egg
  • a pinch of salt
  • Dr.Oetker sprinkles
  • Dr.Oetker sugar glaze

How to:

  1. Preheat the oven at 180°C
  2. Spray the baking tin and set aside
  3. Mix together sugar, salt and flour
  4. Add the egg and the milk, mix all together until fully combined
  5. Fill the donut mold
  6. Bake for 15 minutes (the bottom should be golden brown, the top can be lighter)
  7. Let the donuts cool for a bit in the tin before putting them on a rack
  8. Soften the sugar glaze in hot water for about 10 minutes.
  9. Knead and put in a bowl
  10. Dip the donuts in the bowl of sugar glaze and sprinkle immediately with whatever decorations you like
  11. Set aside on a rack with a plate under it so the excess glaze can drip off

I hope you guys like this easy Donut recipe 😀 These donuts are not as greasy as the “real” ones who are fried. But they are delicious and moist.

Have a delicious day ❤
xxx Sarah
