Chocolate Strawberry Cupcakes

Hi guys!

I’m a chocoholic. Big time. But I also love fruits such as watermelon, banana, kiwi, mango, raspberry and strawberries. You hear me coming, don’t you? (Or you’ve read the title…)
Combining those two loves makes… Chocolate Strawberry Cupcakes! Indeed ๐Ÿ˜‰

The Best Nutella Frosting ever!

Hi guys!

I’ve shared a lot of Cupcakes with you over the past few years, but I never really focused on the frostings. Too bad because those often “make” the Cupcakes ๐Ÿ˜‰ Frosting is what makes the Cupcakes look pretty, what makes them wanting you to take one more and what can save a slightly dry Cupcake.

So I thought it would be worth sharing my favorite frosting recipe:ย Nutella frosting.
Perfect on vanilla cupcakes, but even better on chocolate ones to have that full chocolate flavor. Warning: only for the real chocoholic ๐Ÿ˜‰

Pokรฉ Puff inspired Pokรฉmon Lemon Raspberry Cupcakes

Hi guys!

Pokรฉmon. It had to be on the blog eventually, right? With the game being such a hype and Pokรฉmon desserts popping up everywhere, I had to make one too. Besides, who doesn’t love Pikachu, Charmander or Squirtle? Or maybe, just maybe, you fancied Ash or Misty ๐Ÿ˜‰

Soft & Subtle Caramel Cupcakes

Hi guys!

I’ve just recently discovered the concept ‘partybox’ and I absolutely love it! And by that, I truly mean LOVE it. If it is was for me, we could skip the whole year (except Christmas ’cause I love that holiday too much) until the 30th of March next year ๐Ÿ˜€ I’ve already picked out the theme, venue, menu and guestlist ๐Ÿ˜‰ *Oh wow, she’s gone crazy…*
That’s one way of looking at it :p

Pom Pom Partybox has the cutest things ever. From napkins to plates to glitter confetti and cupcake wrappers. The webshop opens tomorrow (August 10) but I got to see and shoot some of theย stuff before ๐Ÿ˜‰

Since parties aren’t really parties without some yummy food, I thought Cupcakes would make the perfect treat. These Caramel Cupcakes have the fluffiest buttercreme and that subtle caramel flavor.

Hi guys!

What a mouth full, isn’t it? :p
The full title actually is: Vanilla Christmas Tree Cupcakes with fluffy Cinnamon Cream Cheese Frosting.
Try saying that five times in a row!

I know Christmas is already behind us, sadly. But I still wanted to share my Christmas Trees with you!
This frosting is the fluffiest, most delicious and subtle frosting I’ve ever had or made!
It’s got this subtle taste of cinnamon in it which makes it perfect for all ages! And even for people who aren’t such Cinnamon fans ๐Ÿ˜‰

Vanilla Cupcakes

Hi guys!

You all know how my pasion for fashion baking started.
(For those of you who don’t, you can read it here)

I have to admit, they seem rather boring compared to the amazing cupcakes you guys have been posting…
But I still love my plain vanilla cupcakes ๐Ÿ™‚
I make them less boring by decorating them ๐Ÿ˜‰

These, for example, were the first cupcakes I’ve ever decorated. It was during my first workshop.
eerste cupcakes

I gave my second workshop as a gift to my best friend. We had so much fun!

I have to say I was completely shocked when they said they make their cupcakes with a MIX!
Okay, they had their own mix for cupcakes… But still!
Homemade cupcakes are sooooooo much better!
(Okay if you’re in a hurry)
Sorry, I just had to mention it… Let’s continue

I know I’m not a pro at all when it comes to decorating, but I believe exercise will get me there.
I hope to do more workshops in the future to improve my skills ๐Ÿ™‚ Or I’ll learn it on my own.

What do we need:
– 220g cristal sugar
– 220g butter
– 220g self-raising flour
– 4 eggs

How to:
First, mix the sugar with the butter until the sugar is absorbed. Then, add the eggs while mixing.
It should become a liquid, homogeneous mass. Add the self-raising flour. Mix it long enough to make sure everything is mixed properly.
Put some cupcake wrappers in the baking tin and fill them for 2/3 with batter. (I use an ice cream spoon to fill the wrappers, it’s easy ๐Ÿ™‚ )
Put them in the oven for 25 minutes on 180 degrees centigrade.
If the cupcakes are ready, push your finger gently on the cupcake. If it comes back to its original form, they’re done ๐Ÿ™‚

You can decorate them if you want to ๐Ÿ™‚ Or you can frost them ofcourse ๐Ÿ™‚
If I frost my cupcakes, I use a cream cheese frosting.

What do we need:
– 500g cream cheese
– 350ml cream (40% fat)
– 125g powder sugar: you can adapt the amount because some like it sweet, some like it sweeter ๐Ÿ˜‰
– 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

How to:
First, whip the cream. Mix the cream cheese, the powder sugar and the vanilla extract together.
Add the whipped cream to the cream cheese etc. and gently mix it all together.

Here are a few extra pictures of my cupcakes:
(I’m sorry for the crappy photographs but they were made, a longer time ago, when I didn’t think about good pictures :s )

I made these last cupcakes when my parents were married for 22 years.

Have a delicious day! โค
