Chocolate mousse à la Easter

Hi guys!

It’s almost Easter, so I had to do something with it.
I made some chocolate mousse and turned it into a perfect Easter surprise!
Believe me, it’s very easy 😉

I have a lot of books and a lot of recipes for chocolate mousse. Today I chose the recipe by Sofie Dumont.
She is a famous cook in Belgium and I really admire her. Yes, she is one of my inspirations.
(If you would ever read this, Sofie, I hope you like it :p)

So, let’s get started!
This recipe is for 4 people.
What do we need:
– Easter eggs (I chose two white ones and two milk chocolate ones)
– Little Easter eggs for the finishing touch
– 125 g dark chocolate
– 4 eggs
– 1 butter cube
– a pinch of salt
– piping bag

The first thing I did, was to take care of our Easter eggs. I carefully chopped off the heads with a knife. The eggs are suposed to stand straight so you might have to grate the eggs a little bit.

Now, we can make our chocolate mousse.
We need to melt the dark chocolate with the butter. You can use the microwave or au bain-marie to do so.
Split the eggs. We add the egg yolk to the melted chocolate and stir it with a wooden spoon to avoid the eggs to set.
Whip the egg white with a pinch of salt.
If your egg whites are stiff, carefully mix one or two spoons of them together with the melted chocolate.
Add the rest of the egg whites and mix it carefully together.
Now you can put it in the fridge for a couple of hours.

When the chocolate mousse is ready, fill the piping bag with it.
Now you can fill the Easter eggs and decorate them with a little Easter egg 🙂
Enjoy your Easter surprise!
Have a delicious day ❤

xxx Sarah
