Oreo Truffles

Hi guys!

The holidays are over and people are starting their resolutions. Most popular ones are still ‘losing weight’ and ‘starting to do some sports’. Not for me, I didn’t make any new year’s resolutions. I would end up dissapointing myself anyway. Negative thought, I know. But I’m trying to live life day by day. If I do something great, awesome! If not, that’s okay too. I’m just going to be happy in 2018.

We don’t want to eat too much or too much sugar in the beginning of the year because our stomachs are probably still trying to digest that turkey, duck or whatever festive dinner we’ve had at Christmas. So I wanted to share a fun, easy and not too heavy treat with you: Oreo Truffles! Ini mini bite-size treats to make you enjoy some sweets without going into overdrive. Sounds like a plan 😉

Oreo Truffles Recipe

What we need for +- 12 Oreo Truffles:

  • 1 roll Oreo’s (14 cookies)
  • 100 g cream cheese
  • food processor or something else to crunch the cookies
  • +- 200 g dark chocolate
  • +- 25 g white chocolate
  • parchment paper
  • baking sheet
  • piping bag

Oreo Truffles Inside

How to:

  1. Crunch the Oreo cookies
  2. Use your hands to combine cookies and cream cheese
  3. Line the baking sheet with parchment paper
  4. Roll small balls from the dough and place them on the sheet
  5. Put in the freezer for 15 minutes
  6. Melt the dark chocolate
  7. Dunk the Oreo balls in the melted chocolate using a fork
  8. Place the balls on the parchment paper
  9. Set in the fridge for at least 1 hour
  10. Melt the white chocolate and put in the piping bag
  11. Snip off a small piece and pipe stripes over the Oreo Truffles
  12. Share, try or hide!
