I’m happy the new year has finally arrived. I haven’t been able to bring my A game in 2017 and I feel like 2018 is going to be much, much better! Why was 2017 so bad? First of all, it wasn’t that bad. I know many people who’ve had much worse. But for me, 2017 wasn’t exactly what I thought it would be. Life has lived me instead of me living life… I got distracted, carried away, felt tired, had some blues and got numb. There were times that I couldn’t bring myself to baking, blogging or doing anything else. All I wanted was to watch tv. And not even that actually. There were times I needed to feel the wind on my nose and get my head straight. It sounds so depressing but the baddest thing is that it really wasn’t. I didn’t have anything to complain about. And still, 2017 flew by without me doing what I really wanted to do.
2017 hasn’t been completely awful of course. You guys were here to love and support Sarah’s Little Kitchen and I can’t thank you enough for that! Here’s the best 9 of 2017:
How do I know 2018 will be better? Because I’m taking over control. No more lazyness. I will be living in 2018. Not the other way around.
This new plan means some changes for the blog as well. Let me tell you what will change:
- 1 blogpost a week instead of 2 or none: My life is a bit too busy right now to blog twice a week. I don’t want to give you rubbish so I will reduce it to once a week. I think I will be posting on Wednesday, to break your week with fun stuff 🙂 If I want to write something else, it’ll be on Sunday 😀
- Special baking days: I have missed a lot of ‘National … Day’ baking. I will therefore pick a couple of fun National Days in 2018 and include them in my planning. Be prepared for some serious National Chocolate Days!
- More fun stuff on my socials: Posting once a week won’t give me that much to share on Facebook or Instagram. Soooo I will be sharing more fun posts over there! Awesome bakes I saw online, baking quotes, behind the scenes and much more!
I hope you guys are as excited about 2018 as I am! Let’s have a year full of dreams coming true, fun times, golden memories and fine food!
p.s. I can already tell you Christmas will be awesome! Why? I’ll be doing a 12 Days of Christmas 😉
Have a delicious day ❤
