Hi guys!
Just like Minions do I like bananas.
I also often go bananas 😉
Why is it that we like fruit pies so much? Is it because our brain tells us it’s not THAT bad for us because there’s fruit in it?
I know my brain thinks like that…
I can promise you this: your brains WILL tell you it’s not that bad because this pie has bananas in it.
Why? Because it is just that good!
I’m bringing this lovely & creamy pie to my friends at Fiesta Friday!
What do we need:
- 3 or 4 bananas
- 1 roll of flaky pastry
- 250 ml cream (> 40% fat)
- 0.5 l milk
- 5 eggs (2 eggs + 3 egg yolks)
- 2 spoons of vanilla sugar
- 70 g sugar
- 30 g flour
How to:
Let’s make the cream first.
Cook the milk.
Mix the eggs, egg yolks, vanilla sugar and sugar together until it becomes a foamy mixture.
sift the flour and add it to the foamy mixture.
Add a little bit of the hot milk and stir it gently.
Poor in te rest of the milk while you keep stirring the mixture.Put this mixture back on the stove.
Let the mixture thicken at a low fire. Keep stirring with a wooden spoon.
Pay attention to it that it doesn’t boil!
When it’s thick enough, let it cool.
Roll out the flaky pastry and put little holes in it with a fork.
Bake the bottom of the cake for 15 minutes at 200°C.
Put the cream on it.
Slice 3 or 4 bananas (depends on how much you want).
Put the little slices on top of the cream.
Whip up the cream. Top the pie with the cream and you have a wonderful creamy banana pie!
I hope you guys enjoy!
Let’s party!
Have a delicious day ❤
xxx Sarah

I totally agree with Fruit Pies are good for us!
Just one question, is that Flaky Pastry the same with Puff Pastry? Because I got some Puff Pastry inside my freezer.
Thanks for bringing this to the party!
